Dr. Miranda Mutinta Nene

Miranda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Education from Mulungushi University. Her academic background, combined with extensive hands-on experience, has enabled her to build and manage a thriving learning institution that prioritizes quality, discipline, and learner wellbeing.

Before fully dedicating herself to Milestone School, Miranda worked with several organizations and also served as a teacher under the Ministry of Education. These experiences strengthened her understanding of curriculum delivery, policy compliance, and effective school administration.

As a leader, Miranda is known for her strong team leadership, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability. She believes in continuous improvement and ensures that staff at Milestone School receive regular professional development to maintain high teaching standards.

Beyond academics, Miranda is deeply committed to community service and social responsibility. Under her leadership, Milestone School has supported Kakama and Buyantashi Primary Schools through donations, awarded bursaries to learners, and continues to sponsor students at secondary and university levels.

Miranda has also served as Chairperson of the Kabwe Chapter of Ladies Circle Zambia, where she actively participated in humanitarian and community development initiatives.

Her vision is to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering learning environment where every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Milestone School is a mixed Nursery and Primary school located in Luangwa, Kabwe. Established in January 2008, the school was founded with the aim of providing affordable, high-quality, and comprehensive education services to the community.

The school has grown from a single nursery class of six learners to a full Nursery and Primary institution serving over 400 learners from Nursery to Grade Seven. Milestone School employs more than 35 staff members, including highly qualified and dedicated teachers.

The school is fully registered with the Ministry of Education and is an authorized examination center under the Examination Council of Zambia.

Milestone School emphasizes strong literacy and numeracy foundations, science education, and learner wellbeing. A whole-school approach is used in planning, assessment, and program evaluation to ensure consistent learning outcomes.

Learners benefit from a wide range of extracurricular activities including sports, art, media, STEAM, ICT, soccer, volleyball, and netball, all aimed at promoting holistic development.
